This gem is cut emerald cut which is unusual for a Mogok natural sapphire because the rough is so expensive and more weight is retained with mixed cut.

Untreated Burmese sapphires with as good color as this sapphire are rare. Yellow and green colors are also not as common as other colors found in the famous Mogok stone tract.
