Description of Janteng Polydioxanone (PDO or PDS) suture

Synthetic suture absorbable monofilament suture with violet color.
P-dioxanone polymer.
Offers minimum tissue reactivity.
Absorption is made by hydrolytic slow progressive action completed in 200 days approximately.
The original tensile resistance in vivo holds between 65 and 70% in four weeks and 50 and 60% after 6th week.
Color Code: Silver and black label.
Frequently used in tissue coaptation that slowly heals.
