MBI6655為恆流、高亮度、降壓型直流對直流轉換器，可提供LED室內/戶外照明應用具成本效益的解決方案，僅需5個外部組件，即可為大電流LED照明提供穩定之電流。MBI6655使用Hysteretic PFM架構設計，不需要外部補償電路，因此可簡化電路設計。

MBI6655的輸出電流可透過不同阻值的外接電阻來調整各輸出級的電流大小，且可在DIM腳連接脈寬調變(PWM)訊號進行調光控制。

MBI6655的特色還包括一系列完整的IC保護裝置。啟動過流保護裝置(Start-Up)功能可限制IC因電源啟動時所產生的突波電流。過熱斷電裝置(TP)和過電流(OCP)裝置可確保系統穩定度，且LED開路與短路保護機制也可避免IC在不正常運作的情況下損毀。MBI6655目前提供散熱性佳的SOT-89-5L和SOP-8L兩種封裝。

MBI6655 is a step-down constant-current high-brightness LED driver to provide a cost-effective design solution for interior/exterior illumination applications. It is designed to deliver constant current to light up high power LED with minimum 4 external components. With hysteretic PFM control scheme, MBI6655 eliminates external compensation design and simplifies the PCB design.

The output current of MBI6655 can be programmed by an external resistor and dimmed via pulse width modulation (PWM) through DIM pin. MBI6655 features complete protection design to handle faulty situations. （call 0755-82134672）The start-up function limits the inrush current while the power is switched on. Under voltage lock out (UVLO), over temperature protection (OTP), and over current protection (OCP) guard the system to be robust and keep the driver away from being damaged which results from LED open-circuited, short-circuited and other abnormal events.

MBI6655 provides thermal-enhanced SOT-89 and SOP-8 packages as well to handle power dissipation efficiently.
